Xmas decorations

Just a quick tutorial for Christmas decorations that give a Nordic and traditional look to the room.

Firstly using red felt, cut out two shapes by folding a piece of the felt in half to ensure you get the same size.

Then you match them up and with red thread using a running stich, sew them together leaving a gap at the top to stuff and put a ribbon loop on.

Now is the time to stuff them if you wish,

With some of the stockings, I used faux fur for the tops and to ensure you get a neat finish, make a ‘parting’ in the fur before cutting to ensure you are not cutting the actual fur just the backing.

Next you can choose ribbons for loops to stitch in and then sew up the tops, if you have a little helper, they can pva the fur to the top of the stockings while you stitch.

And voila some lovely homemade decorations the kiddies can join in with too.
